Alaska Airlines Visa 50,000 Mile Sign-Up Bonus Offer

I usually don’t like to post single offers, but this offer sprang up last night in the miles & points world & several of you have asked me to notify you when special offers show up. I only recommend applying for this if you’re comfortable taking some risks and have been applying/collecting points for some time now.

The follow link is to an Alaska Airlines 50000 miles signup (Bank of America) offer accessible here:

  • UP TO 50,000 Bonus Miles by earning 25,000 Bonus Miles upon approval and an additional 25,000 Bonus Miles after making at least $1,000 in purchases within the first 90 days of the account open date
  • Bonus Mile Offer: This one-time promotion is limited to new customers opening an account in response to this offer and is valid for a limited time by invitation only. This offer is not valid for customers that have applied for this product in the last 12 months.

This offer is supposed to target Washington residents only, but several people have applied for this card and confirmed over the phone that they will receive the 50k bonus after applying and being approved, so you have to decide if this is worth taking the risk / credit inquiry for you.

This is not an affiliate link & I do not receive a commission if you apply. There are risks involved in applying so do not hold me liable for not getting the bonus!

In the past, the best offer for this card was for 40,000 bonus points, but is usually 25,000.

I like the Alaska Airlines Visa offer for many reasons. Having the card gets you a $118 companion ticket, and when using it the companion is still eligible for mileage accrual & upgrades. That companion certificate is worth the $75 itself. It’s also issued by Bank of America. For those of you who have hit your limits with AMEX, Citi, & Chase, its nice to see good offers come out from different issuers.

You’re probably wondering what you can do with Alaskan miles. You can redeem them on partners like Cathay Pacific & Emirates. Hello Hong Kong / Dubai. This one card won’t get you enough miles to fly RT to those destinations but it brings you a lot closer. Reports of BOA cards is that you can hold several of the same card.

I personally will probably try to find a few other offers to apply for at the same time.
