Every year around the holidays, I like give back to those who are less fortunate and to programs that have helped mold me into the person I have become today.<\/p>\n

Since I launched the blog this year, I thought why not make it a little more interesting and incorporate my readers into the process. Let’s turn it into an event where you<\/em> <\/strong>actually help to make a difference!<\/p>\n

This year, I’m going to donate money, but you’re going to determine how much money, and where it goes. The donations will all be made to official 501(c)3 charity\/non-profit organizations. The best part of this whole thing is\u00a0the<\/strong> first $100 (and anything below) of each 3 outlets will be matched by an anonymous contributor!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

There will be three different ways you can vote for your charity of choice & you can vote once per outlet:<\/p>\n

Outlet #1- The Blog<\/strong>: For every direct comment on this blog post, I will donate $1 (up to $100). In your comment, list the charity you would like the donation to go to, and include a link so I know how to find & verify them.<\/p>\n

For example:\u00a0<\/em>If I get 5 comments, $10 will be donated. If I get 100 comments, $200 will be donated to the charity with the most votes.<\/p>\n

Outlet #2 – Facebook<\/strong>: For every Facebook “like” on this post, I will donate $1 (up to $100). If the post gets to 1000 or more likes, I will double the donation to $200. Comment on the post to vote for the charity you would like the donation to go to. Again, include a link or contact so I know how to get in touch with them if they win.<\/p>\n

For example: <\/em>If I get 5 likes, $10 will be donated. If I get 100 likes, $200 will be donated. If I get 1000+ likes, $300 will be donated!<\/p>\n

Outlet #3 – Twitter<\/strong>: For every Twitter retweet on this post, I will donate $1 (up to $100). If the tweet goes over 1000 retweets, I will double the donation to $200. Or, I will double the donation if I see that #p2sdonation starts trending on twitter. Include the hashtag #p2sdonation, and the charity name you would like the donation to go to. I will DM someone who retweeted for contact information for the charity.<\/p>\n

For example:\u00a0<\/em>If I\u00a0get 5 retweets, $10 will be donated. If I get 100 retweets, $200 will be donated. If I get 1000+ retweets or if I see #p2sdonation start trending, $300 will be donated!<\/p>\n

In total, up to $800 could be donated!<\/strong>\u00a0but it’s really up to you, and where it will go.<\/p>\n

I’m sure everyone knows of a charity. Please spread the word to them if they could use this donation.<\/p>\n

I’ve often had friends ask me to donate to their cause. I’m only asking you to help me determine where it goes. Think of your “like” or comment as donating $1 to help spread some holiday cheer this year!<\/p>\n
