One of the hardest decisions in playing this game is figuring out how complex you’re willing to get to maximize your return. Different point programs are like different currency, except for that most of the time, you can’t exchange one for another. There are a few programs that have that flexibility, and that’s what makes them so valuable (AMEX / Chase Ultimate Rewards / SPG).

Other than that, you’ll have to manage each program individually. Luckily there’s programs like AwardWallet out there that help you with that. See my post (http://point2steve.com/?p=1304) on how to manage your points.
